James has passed on, leaving Edward alone in his twilight years. Logan, youngest son of Hamish, a good friend of Edwards, has questions to which only Edward can answer. Those answers are cryptic and not well understood by Logan. In the midst of the goldrush, Logan with his boyhood friend Chance, attempts to answer those questions while seeking adventure in the goldfields.
