Rick Beck does not write fluffy bunny stories. At times, they are gritty and very realistic. Yet they are always about love. Many of his stories are about the struggles we gay folk have had in times past. Rick is a terrific writer and knows how to pull your emotional strings.
Dooley was back for his sophomore year. Andy was a junior. Coach Bell was delighted that two of his best players were back, but you couldn't tell that from his demeanor. It was possibly the best season for their University, then in midseason, Monty Kristoff, their centerfielder and one of the teams best batters, saves the inning by smacking into the fence and breaking his arm.
