Jeremiah Tate is reaching his sixteenth birthday and his body is changing in ways he does not understand. His was raised by his Mother, who refused to discuss any matter concerning his Father. His closest friend and cousin is 'Chub' Tate, but he also remains silent about Jeremiah's Father. His 'Grand Day' arrives when he discovers he is not who he thought he was and he realizes he is not even human.
