The following story is the third episode from the life of Kriminaloberkommissar Sascha Altmann. It appears that murder simply won't take a holiday when Sascha is around. Even when Sascha has accidentally broken his collar bone, dead men pop-up, literally beneath his feet! Although the plot is self-contained, it is better to have read the first two episodes “Othello and other disasters” and “Hit any key to die” beforehand, especially to understand the characters. I decided to use the original German police ranks, check the notes at the end of the story about them and for some additional info.
