From The Previous Chapter:

Ken found the other three adults in the lounge, having some adult refreshments, when he went into the hotel. He asked the men if they thought the boys were ready to leave tomorrow. The men said they thought they were, then they asked if he was. Mr. Ken said he needed a drink.

The four talked about the day for a few minutes, as Mr. Ken finished his drink. The man then left the group, to go up to his room to pack, in order to be ready to leave in the morning. Then, after packing, he called Kate and the two talked about them and what they would do when she, her mom and the boys came for the 4th of July Carnival.

Yesterday’s storm had passed through the area overnight and the morning was now bright, without a cloud in the sky, and the air smelled fresh and clean.

The boys knew to be down in the lobby by eight o’clock, and they were. They brought their luggage and carry-on bags with them and took them out to the vans. The boys loaded them and then they got the adults things and loaded them, as well, before getting something off the breakfast buffet.

Mr. Ken settled the hotel bill and the clerk thanked him for visiting them again, and then wished him a safe flight to wherever he was headed. Mr. Ken thanked him for the sentiment, and then it was Collin’s turn.

By now, Phillip knew what was expected of him when they arrived at the airport. He helped unload the luggage and carry-on bags onto a TSA cart and then went inside to be processed through the TSA Security Checkpoint. Then once past the checkpoint, he knew to use the restroom before loading onto the aircraft.

Out at the airport, since they hadn’t changed the manifest the night before, everyone who flew with Collin would fly in his corporate aircraft over to the airport nearest the Edgewood Amusement Park. The boys who flew with him were happy. The other boys, not so much.

Both airplanes took off, about ten minutes apart from one another, with their expected touchdown ninety minutes later. During the flight, Phillip and Mr. Dennis looked out of the windows to try to get some idea of where they were. Even the other boys were looking out the windows, as they had only ever been that way once before.

During their flight, Dan asked his friend, Ken, how things were going between him and Kate. Ken smiled at the question. He liked the older man as a good friend and had ever since they met, all those years ago, when Collin was being fought over by CPS and the FBI. He felt that when he ever did get married, he would ask the man to be his Best Man.

Still smiling, Ken told Dan that he was truly falling for the woman. Ken then revealed that Lane, the father of Kate’s boys, was causing her problems and he was going to have his local lawyer, Amy Ozarker, work with her to see if they could find a way to overcome that hurdle.

Dan was intrigued and wanted to know more. Ken said he didn’t know the full story, but that it had to do with custody somehow. Ken went on to say that Lane was now holding his parental rights over Kate’s head. He added that now that Kate was seeing him, that Lane apparently knew I had money. Lane was now seeing BIG Dollar signs for his giving up those rights.

Dan said that it sounds like an extortion scheme that the man is working on, and that it will backfire on him. And, he added that Kate better be careful as those types usually never go away, that once they get a taste, they will always come back for more.

Ken told Dan that if that is what Lane tries, then when they get enough on him, he won’t know what hit him, and he’ll be very sorry he tried to extort money from Kate. Ken added that the man’s parental rights will be taken away, and he’ll find himself behind bars if he has anything to say about it. Dan just smiled knowing that when it comes to kids his friend will not rest until the offender is dealt with.

Since it was a fairly short flight, the flight attendants had to wait until they reached cruising altitude and even then, they didn’t serve the passengers much of a breakfast. They offered the travelers either reheated pre-made pancakes, or waffles, and a drink, which the boys scarfed down in record time.

When the boys were finished with their breakfast, the flight attendant collected the trays and dirty drink cups. By then it was almost time to descend into the arrival airport, so the boys got ready for the descent and landing. While they did that, they continued to look out the windows and enjoy the scenery.

It was just past eleven o’clock that morning when the second plane touched down and then taxied to the terminal. The first plane with Mr. Ken, Mr. Dan, Robert, Charles and Eric had already landed and the passengers were waiting for the rest of their entourage to arrive before they all headed out to their hotel.

By the time everyone had gathered their luggage, carry-on bags and loaded them into their transportation vehicles it was well past eleven-thirty. The ride to the hotel would take another forty to forty-five minutes. But time didn’t matter at this amusement park’s visit, as the boys wouldn’t be riding any of the rides.

At the hotel, Mr. Ken went to the desk and got the travelers their room keys. Collin was right behind him and got his key. Again, the young man had some difficulty, as his being under twenty-one prevented his renting a hotel room.

Collin asked the desk clerk to check and see if the reservations were under C.W.E. Inc. Learning they were, Collin told the clerk he represented them and there should have been a reservation for four rooms, which there was. But the clerk still wouldn’t give Collin a key to one of them.

Mr. Ken, who was standing by watching, asked to talk to the manager. But the clerk refused to call him, saying he had no business in that matter as it concerned him and the young man.

Mr. Ken quickly called Jason, figuring he knew many people now in the area, as he had to deal with the hotel often enough, particularly as the ride repair teams arrived. When Jason answered, Mr. Ken told him what was happening at the hotel, and he asked him if he knew who the manager was at the hotel. Three minutes later the manager came out to the front desk.

“Mr. Thomas … welcome back to our wonderful hotel. I understand there is a slight problem with the room assignments. Maybe I can help,” offered the jovial, smiling hotel manager.

Mr. Ken and the hotel manager discussed the problem, and since it was a Sunday, there would be no one at C.W.E Inc to verify who Collin was. But the hotel manager knew who Mr. Ken was, and after the new owner of Edgewood Amusement Park guaranteed Collin’s appropriate use of the room, just as he has the room for his teenage sons, the manager had the desk clerk assign a C.W.E. Inc room to Collin.

With the room keys in-hand, Mr. Ken assigned Billy, Robert and Charles to the teen’s room, Eric and Matthew to bunk in with Mr. Wayne and Phillip and Mark to bunk in with Mr. Dennis. ‘Dad’ Ken then told everyone to check out their rooms, use the facility and then meet down in the lobby in fifteen minutes.

The boys then took the three trolleys full of luggage and carry-on bags to the elevator and took everyone’s things to the third floor and set the bags in front of the current rooms. The adults took the other elevator to the third floor to check out their rooms.

Once the group met in the lobby they headed out for a late lunch. The boys were anxious to see what changes had been made since they visited the park last year, so they voted to get a burger, fries and a drink and agreed they’d go out for a big dinner later tonight.

The men thought that was a good compromise, so they had their drivers stop at a national fast-food chain, so they knew the food would be consistent with what they were used to from where they were from.

It was close to 2 p.m. when the travelers arrived at the Edgewood operations building. Jason, the Operations Manager, along with Braxton Carter and Tucker Clark, his two Assistant Ops Managers met the large group.

“Welcome back, Mr. Ken,” loudly greeted Jason. “And a big welcome to you Mr. Wayne, Mr. Dennis, Mr. Dan, Collin, Ryan, Billy, Robert, Charles, Eric, Matthew, Mark and Phillip. Yes, I talked to Arnie to learn who my visitors would be. That’s how I knew your names. Unfortunately, I don’t know the faces,” finished a smiling Jason.

“Let me introduce you to my two right-hand men. This is Braxton Carter and Tucker Clark. They both worked here before Mr. Ken’s purchase of the park and they have the collective knowledge of the park. And believe me when I say they have been a great help to me as we get Edgewood ready to reopen.

“Mr. Ken, I do have your special shirt in my office. The one that Mr. Walthers sent. And, as a special surprise, the women in the wardrobe department … they have something special for each one of you,” added Jason, as he pointed to the rest of the group.

“Mr. Ken … if you’ll follow me to my office. And the rest of you, if you will please follow Tucker to the wardrobe department for your surprise,” suggested Jason.

Mr. Ken followed Jason to the office, where his white owner’s shirt awaited him. There the two men talked, as Mr. Ken changed into it. As the man changed, the owner of the park learned that all of the employees knew he was coming to inspect their progress, and that he was bringing his family along.

Jason also had a white hard hat for Mr. Ken to wear, telling him the people in the park will recognize him as a manager or supervisor. Jason explained that the park was considered a construction site, since the ride inspection and repair (I&R) companies were active on the site, as well as the other major renovations going on throughout the park.

Mr. Ken adjusted his hard hat and then told Jason he was ready to go out and start walking around. He told the operations manager that he wanted to get a general feel for what has been done, as compared to what was there when he was there starting back on 8 May.

Mr. Ken then asked where his boys and other guests were. Jason used his radio and asked Tucker if the wardrobe ladies were finished with their guests and, if so, could he bring them out to his office. Tucker replied that they were on their way.

Less than a minute later, Mr. Ken got as big a surprise as his fellow travelers did when they visited the wardrobe department. As the boys and the men walked towards Mr. Ken, he saw them all wearing white polo shirts that had Three Finger Entertainment embroidered on them and the person’s name under it.

“What do we have here?” asked a surprised Ken Thomas, as he looked over the matching white polo shirts everyone was wearing.

“Mr. Ken,” began Jason, “the women who take care of the wardrobe, when they’d seen your ‘Owner’ polo shirt, they asked me to get the names of who would also be visiting with you and their approximate sizes. They then went and got them matching white shirts.

“The women … they have an embroidering sewing machine in their department, and they tried, but they couldn’t match making that Three Finger outline that you have on your polo. So, what they decided to do was just embroider the words Three Finger Entertainment, in the same green color that is on your shirt, and then they put the person’s name underneath. I hope you don’t mind that they did that,” finished Jason.

Mr. Ken told Jason that together they look like a small army of inspectors, so the employees better look out. That made everyone laugh.

And as Mr. Ken continued checking out the white polo shirts everyone else was wearing, Jason brought out gray hard hats for each of them. The man explained to them that the color meant that they were visitors to the park, and were not a worker. He told them he didn’t want them shanghaied into sweeping or painting, or otherwise getting dirty.

It was Charles who spoke up and said they wanted to help, if they could. ‘Dad’ Ken spoke up just then and told the boys they’d talk about it tonight at dinner, but for now he wanted them to all walk around and look at what Jason has done to change the park.

He reminded the boys, who’d seen the park last year, that they should see some remarkable transformations, as compared to what they’d seen before. The man then asked everyone to start walking with him, as he looked everything over.

The boys took pictures and Charles took out his quadcopter and asked Mr. Zimms if he could fly it. Jason said he didn’t have any problems with that, as there weren’t any guests in the park just then. But he did ask Charles not to fly it close to any workers, as they aren’t aware of the drone being in the air. Charles said he’d keep it high to get an overall view.

As the group walked along, Mr. Ken asked Jason how the I&R was coming along on the 110 feet high roller coaster known as, The Wooden Coaster.

“Oh, you mean Patches?” was all that Jason said when Mr. Ken stopped in his tracks.

“Patches? Where did that name come from Jason?’ directly asked Mr. Ken.

“Oh, well … you see, ahh … after the I&R company began changing out wood on the coaster, it, ahh … the more they changed out the wood the more … well, it started to look like big patches were being placed all over the coaster.

“At first, we, everyone, that is, we still called it The Wooden Coaster. But after a while, when people … when they had to go over to that area to work, or take something there, they started referring to it as going over to … Patches.

“After a while, it just kind of started and when anyone mentioned Patches, everyone knew they were talking about the wooden roller coaster. So, it, well, it just kind of stuck. The name, The Wooden Coaster … everyone thought it was lame. Even Braxton and Tucker … they said they couldn’t believe the original owners named it that. I hope you don’t mind, Mr. Thomas,” apologetically offered Jason.

Mr. Ken didn’t say anything to Jason. All he did was continue to walk towards the roller coaster, and as he did so, he noticed what Jason was saying. He asked the boys what they thought about the name, Patches, that Jason said that everyone was calling the coaster.

The boys told their ‘dad’ that they liked the name and seeing all the new wood all over the structure said that it gives it character and that he should keep the name and not to paint the wood.

Mark spoke up and mentioned to Mr. Ken that he should design the coaster trains with patches all over them to resemble the new name. The other boys thought that was a good idea and agreed with their younger ‘brother’.

When the group got to the coaster, the I&R company’s men were working on the coaster and Mr. Ken asked the first man he saw if he could talk with the foreman. Jason told the man that he was the owner of the park and had some questions.

The man knew who Jason was, so he went looking for the foreman.

When the foreman came over to Mr. Ken, he introduced himself and asked the owner of the park how he could help him. Mr. Ken asked him if he knew how far along the Philadelphia Toboggan Coaster company was in refurbishing the coaster train they sent to them.

The man said he honestly didn’t know, but he could find out for him first thing tomorrow. Mr. Ken asked him to do that for him, and that he’d stop by late tomorrow some time. Mr. Ken also asked the man to inquire if it is too late to add a name to the train and maybe some kind of design he had in mind. The foreman said he’d ask and let him know.

As the group walked away from the coaster, Mr. Ken started to focus on certain areas that he was interested in. But he was taking a lot of time at each stop. So, Robert asked his dad if they could go off on their own and look at the park from their own point of view.

Charles stated that they don’t need to look so close at everything like he is. The teen said they want to look at the park from the way they remember it from last year, and see what changes have been made. The teen added that they could see it all and then tomorrow they could maybe help clean, or paint, or whatever else that they could maybe do.

Mr. Ken realized that what he was doing was boring for the boys, so he told them they could go off on their own. He told Wayne, Dan and Dennis that they could walk around with the boys, and let them tell them what they remember seeing from last year, or they could go off on their own and see the park for themselves.

Dan said he wanted to walk around with the boys and hear what they have to say about what they saw last year, versus what they see now. Dennis agreed with Dan, saying what better way to get a first-hand tour from someone who has the 911. Then he laughed. The boys laughed right along with him, but told him it was 411, for information, not 911 for help. That caused everyone to laugh, even harder.

Mr. Ken and Jason headed to the food stands to check out the new food service equipment, soda dispensers, vent hoods and how well the power washing looked inside and out front for their opening day.

As the separate group walked around, Phillip was amazed at what he was seeing. There were some rides that he remembered seeing at the other parks, but there were a few rides that he’d never seen before.

One ride Phillip had never seen before was called the Roll-O-Plane. This ride consisted of a rotating arm mounted to a pivoting hinge on a central support column. The arm had two enclosed cars (one at the top and one at the bottom). Each car held four riders seated in pairs facing opposite directions making the maximum capacity of eight riders. Phillip said he couldn’t fathom how the ride worked.

Charles heard what his younger ‘brother’ said and he tried to explain it to him. The teen told Phillip that the arm swings until it makes a complete loop, then the arm rotates, so that it is moving around horizontally. Charles said that the ride cars will rotate, or ‘roll’ while the ride is in motion, always keeping the riders right-side-up. Phillip said he wasn’t sure if he would ever ride it.

Another ride that the group came to, that Phillip had never seen, was called the Hey Day. But because it was CLOSED, due to its being undergoing a total restoration, back to as close to its original configuration as the company could make it, the boys could not go inside to look at it.

Billy spoke up and told everyone that it was said that the Hey Day was the original Tilt-A-Whirl and the ride cars were really large and went around on a wooden deck that had slight hills and valleys like the Tilt-A-Whirl now has, but only much wider.

There was another interesting ride the group came up to. It was called Head Over Heels and the boys said they had ridden it last year when they were there. Phillip asked his ‘brothers’ how did people ride it. Robert took that question and told the young Cover that two riders face one another in the circular wheel like, gondola.

Collin then added that as the ride spun around on a central spindle, the gondolas could turn 360 degrees forwards or backwards, on its own axis, which was controlled by the riders. The young college man said the riders can turn the wheel upside down, forwards and backwards, all the while the ride was spinning on the central axle.

Phillip said he wished he could have seen that ride in motion, so that maybe he could ride it.

Matthew quickly spoke up and said that he didn’t want to ride it. “Phillip, when I watched this ride last year the people … they would turn upside down, forwards and then backwards, all the while the ride was spinning around. And then I saw some riders … they continually rotated forwards, or backward, the entire time. And I didn’t ride it because I didn’t want to get sick.

“But those guys did. And when Kevin came off the ride, he told me that I was smart not to have ridden it. He complained of a slight headache, and being a bit dizzy. He told ‘dad’ he needed to sit down, and then we had to wait until he felt better.”

Robert and Charles verified what Matthew just said. They said that if you made the wheel go around and around constantly that you probably would get dizzy and sick. But the teenager said that they just went forwards and backwards a few times, but not constantly like Kevin probably did.

“Well, boys, with the park being renovated, and with all the inspection and repair companies working on all of the rides, I guess Phillip will never know,” laughed Mr. Wayne. “So, what say we continue walking around the park and seeing whatever we can see.”

As the boys walked around, they told the men that when they were there last year the place looked really dirty. They told how there seemed to be trash everywhere that no one ever picked it up. They mentioned that the rides looked like the employees never washed the ride handrails or the seats.

Billy told the men how the Men’s restrooms had that unclean ‘smell’ you sometimes get when you go into a Men’s restroom on a hot day. But Billy added that the smell was one that made you not to want to stay in there any longer than you had to.

That said, Phillip said he needed to use the restroom, and he wanted to see if they had cleaned the restrooms up yet. So, the group walked over to the nearest Men’s Restroom.

The first thing that the Cover’s, who’d visited Edgewood last year, noticed was that the outside looked clean, very clean. They saw that the entrance walkway had been pressure washed and the doorways had been painted. And then finding the building open, they all walked in.

“Wow!” exclaimed Matthew. “This place smells so clean and it looks great!”

“I’ll say,” agreed Robert. “The inside looks totally painted and the floor is spotless. It looks like they replaced all of the mirrors and the sinks are all the same, too. I wonder if the hot water works?”

While Robert was commenting about what he saw, Phillip was relieving himself at one of the ‘porcelain gods’ hanging on the wall. It was when the teenager heard the urinal flushing, that he remembered why they were inside the Men’s Restroom and that he needed to use the facility, as well.

Outside, all of the travelers remarked how nice it was to go inside there and not gag because of the smell, or the trashy conditions. But Mr. Wayne reminded everyone that they were probably the only ones who’d used that particular facility. He cautioned them to wait and see how the building would be after eight or ten hours of use from thousands of parkgoers.

The boys then walked the group over to where the Rocket once stood. Once there, the boys told the men that when they were there last year they wanted to visit there first, because they wanted to see where the accident had happened. The boys added that when they got there all they found was an empty lot with remnants of steel girders piled high, waiting to be loaded onto flatbed 18-wheelers and taken away.

They then showed everyone the gouge in the ground where the coaster car had hit, which ultimately caused the downfall of the Edgewood Amusement Park. Robert still had the Rocket video on his cell phone, so he showed the men, and Phillip, what the ride was all about before the accident.

After visiting the Rocket site, they walked over to where the Para-Drop once stood. The lot had been totally cleared and that disappointed Phillip, because now he had no idea of what that ride looked like and he couldn’t envision what it was all about.

Billy took out his cell phone and brought up a video that showed how that ride worked. The older Cover teen showed Phillip, and the three men, that the Para-Drop would have two people seated with a pulldown lap bar holding them in place and then they would be whisked quickly, approximately 250 feet, up into the air.

The video then showed that the riders then had about 30 seconds to look around the park before the ride dropped them about 30 feet, before it slowed their decent down until it reached the bottom. Phillip said it looked like the Tower of Terror, except it didn’t come down fast all the way to the bottom.

The boys told Mr. Wayne, Mr. Dan and Mr. Dennis that there was one other ride that their ‘dad’ had removed because it was so old, that he was afraid it would fail and injure loads of people. The boys then walked over to where the Swinger once stood. The ride had also been completely removed from the park.

Robert told the men, and Phillip, that the Swinger was just an old swing ride that had long chains and a seat suspended from arms and swung the rider out as the center spindle turned around.

As the group continued their self-guided walk, they walked by some of the small children’s rides. They stopped to look at them and they saw that the ride looked clean and in some cases the paint had been touched up.

At one ride, they saw a group of men working on the ride and doing what looked like they were rewiring something. But they couldn’t determine if they were rewiring the controls or the lighting. But what they did know was that the new owner was intent on ensuring the rides were safe, as opposed to what the park’s reputation once had.

During their walk, the group passed the Scrambler, the Octopus and the train stations, and at every ride, everyone in the group noticed that the entrance to the ride was clean and the ride cars looked clean and polished. They also noticed more fresh paint to dress up and improve the look of the area, and also what looked like new lighting.

They also passed by the Himalaya, the Ferris Wheel and the Swinging Boat and noticed that some of those were torn apart with ride parts and wires spread everywhere. The group figured they were being inspected and would be repaired before being put back together.

The boys wondered if the inspection and repair team would be able to get them back together in enough time so the park workers could get them cleaned, polished and any needed paint in time for the Grand Re-Opening.

They then came up to another ride that Phillip had never seen. This one was called The Whip.

Mr. Dan said he remembered riding something like that when he was growing up. He told everyone that as you came to the end and the ride car went around the 180-degree turn, it pushed you back into the car seat. He added that it also gave you the feeling of speed as you went around the 180-degree turn. The man said it was a fun ride that also let you relax for a few minutes.

The boys said they rode it when they were there last year and they liked it, even though it looked lame. Matthew spoke up and said that as the car went along the long section the car kind of moved back and forth until it came to the turn at the end. The pre-teen added that then the big cog wheel pulled you around and you felt yourself being pushed into the back of the seat. He said that was the fun part.

One thing that the group also noticed, as they continued to walk along, was that there was lots of new paint everywhere. There was new paint on the buildings and especially on the majority of the rides. They also noticed that the areas around the food stands were very clean. Billy said that it looked like they had pressure washed the areas.

The group had passed more of the children’s rides and they noticed that those rides also looked washed, polished, painted and ready for opening day.

Charles told everyone that he noticed that the shrubs and trees were either trimmed, or had been removed, and maybe replaced. Robert then agreed that there were new plants and landscaping, with mulch added, especially around those ride areas, that were cleaned and painted. He figured that would happen around the other rides, as they also were being turned back over to the park.

There was one ride that the boys went looking for and when they found it they couldn’t believe what they saw. That ride was the Twister Coaster and it looked like someone had taken a blowtorch, wrenches and hammers to it and just beat the living crap out of it.

It was then they noticed their ‘dad’ and Jason standing on the loading platform. So, they went over to where they were and the boys asked the ‘dad’ what happened to it.

“Boys, you ready to ride the Twister Coaster?” chuckled ‘dad’ Ken.

“You’ve got to be kidding us, dad?” instantly shot back Robert.

“Oh, no, son, Jason tells me that the Twister Coaster is better now than it ever was,” answered the teen’s dad.

“But … but why does it look … look so … so beat up. Dad?” now asked Charles.

Jason took the question and told the travelers that the I&R team found loose nuts and bolts as well as broken steel supports and cross connections. The operations manager told everyone that the inspection team did what they were hired to do, and they replaced stripped out bolts with new ones, welded the broken supports and connections and rewired the entire control system to include the block braking.

Jason also told them that after the I&R team was finished, an electrical contractor came in and rewired the lighting all over the ride and added the new LED lights that will reduce their electrical use and make the ride even brighter. Jason then told them that they were talking about what color they were going to paint the coaster.

By then Mr. Ken looked at the time and told Jason it was time he took his group out for a good dinner. He told the park’s ops manager that he would see him at eight in the morning.

Jason told the group that if they left their new shirts at the wardrobe department, the women would have them cleaned and ready for them tomorrow when they arrived. They all did that, and even Mr. Ken changed into the shirt he wore to the park, then they all went out for a good steak dinner.

At dinner, Mr. Ken asked the boys what they thought about the park. Each boy, who’d been at Edgewood last year, told him what they remember from before, and they compared it to what they saw today. Before they left the restaurant, the boys did ask their ‘dad’ if they would be allowed to help tomorrow at the park. ‘Dad’ Ken was non-committal and only told them that he’d see what Jason had to say at the park tomorrow.

Back at the hotel, the adults sent the boys up to their rooms, while they went to the lounge for a few adult drinks. As they talked, Mr. Ken told them he was going to stay until Wednesday, as he needed the extra day to work on the Grand Re-Opening plan with Jason, and then there was the question of the renaming The Wooden Coaster to Patches, that he needed to talk to Ben about.

Mr. Ken then asked Wayne and Dennis if they would mind extending their stay one extra day. But then he asked Dan if he needed to be back any time soon. He told him that if he did, he’d just have the air charter company pick him up and take him home on Tuesday.

Dan told his host that he had planned extra days in his time-off, so staying an extra day wouldn’t cause any problems between him and Sheriff Barnes. The four men drank to staying the extra day and Mr. Ken told them that he would have Chris coordinate with the air charter company and transportation back from Austin-Bergstrom.

Wayne then asked his boss if they would be able to help and do something meaningful at the park, while they hung around for an extra two days. Mr. Ken said that there probably was, but that he needed to see what Jason needed done.

The man did qualify himself by saying that Billy was actually the only one of the boys old enough, who could actually do some of the work. He added that he and Jason would have to figure something out that the other boys could do, and not break any State work rules.

The men finished their drinks, then Mr. Ken reminded them that he was going to be out at the park for eight o’clock, to start talking with the I&R companies, and checking on what was left to be done for the Grand Re-Opening ceremonies.
